DESCRIPTION:Teams for the event are made up of one Beaver Meadow GC Member and one Guest both with established USGA handicaps and at least 10 scores posted by June 30th\, 2018. The field is limited to 36 teams. A complimentary practice round is available to all participants the day before the event begins. The format for the event is Better Ball of Partners Round Robin Match Play played at 75% handicap and stroking off the low player. The event is broken down into Flights of six teams. Flights are determined according to total team handicaps (maximum difference between partners is 10 strokes). Each team plays five 9-hole matches\, three on Day 1 and two on Day 2. Points are awarded for holes won in match. Half points are awarded for holes that are halved. A point is also awarded if the match is won\, or a half point is awarded if the match is halved. There is a total of 10 points per match. The team with the highest point total in each flight wins and is in a playoff against the other flight winners to determine the overall champion. \nThe format for the playoff is a sudden death alternate shot with teams receiving 50% of their combined handicap. The holes used for the playoff are #9\, #1 & #18 in that order. Prizes will be awarded for Flight Winners. There are Closest to the Pin prizes each day. In addition to the tournament\, food will be served on Friday & Sunday Evening.
